This uses a script to put a checkbox into a form. Oddly enough it does not have to come between script and /script: in fact , it will not work if you put them in. The tags are select and /select. This was subsequently modified to put in a textarea to tell the user to make a selection. Again the textarea and textarea tags are sufficient. The closing tag has to be there because, if it is not, everything after it will be in a textbox.
This kind of thing should be used sparingly because it looks mundane compared to the on screen effects you can achieve with HTML. This page has been jazzed up by using a stylesheet. You can find more about this in the secton on HTML.
